Gerald Pagdato - Digital Marketing Master
Thursday Mar 05, 2020
Thursday Mar 05, 2020
He began teaching himself all things media and joined a production company, which is where I met him on some weird web series. He learned a lot in his three years at that company and needed to walk away, which is when he branched out on his own about a year ago.
He is is the beginning of his journey, but we get to have an honest discussion about the ups and downs that come with the first few years in business.

Jamie Salé - Canadian Icon & Motivational Coach
Tuesday Feb 18, 2020
Tuesday Feb 18, 2020
It was an absolute pleasure for me to sit down with Jamie Salé. She is an Olympic Gold Medalist, World Champion, Canadian Icon and so much more…
With all of her passion, her drive, her enthusiasm and her love of helping people, it was only natural that she passes along her knowledge to others who want to be their best self. She is now a Certified Motivational Coach.
I took so much from this conversation and it was such an honour for me to spend some time hearing a little bit more of her story and getting to know what drives a true champion.

Matt Lisac - National Solar Distributors
Monday Jan 20, 2020
Monday Jan 20, 2020
A fantastic story about a regular guy who saw his Jerry Maguire moment and took it.
I met Matt on the Edmonton comedy scene about 10-years ago and we lost touch for a few years when one day he asked me to come by his shop. In 2015, he started his own Solar Distribution Company and he has since sold that company.
It's a common story I have found with a lot of the people I have interviewed. They got involved in an industry they liked and took a risk when they saw a moment and decided they could do it just as well, or better on their own.

Sean Lecomber - A Story About Stand-up
Tuesday Dec 10, 2019
Tuesday Dec 10, 2019
Stand-up comedians are an interesting and intriguing breed that have one of the most challenging and interesting careers out of anyone I have ever met. Every comedian understands what the day in a life of a comedian looks like, but most people could never really get how brutal it all usually is.
Haha, sometimes there are fun parts.
I had a lot of fun sitting down with a really good friend of mine, who just so happens to be one of the best comedians in Canada, and in my opinion, the world. His name is Sean Lecomber and he is an absolute beauty. As good as he is at comedy, he is even funnier in person and is a very interesting, brilliant and humble man.
He talks about his career, from starting 18-years ago, until today. His highlights and more of his lowlights, because they are the funniest parts. We share some war stories and just have a fun conversation about what it's like to be a Professional Stand-up Comedian, so others can maybe understand the guy or girl they're watching on stage at a club or performing at their Christmas Party.
Check out some of his comedy. Here's a link to his Gala show at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival.

Ross Wady - Founder of All Glass Parts
Monday Nov 18, 2019
Monday Nov 18, 2019
I had the luxury of sitting down and talking to Ross Wady (Founder of All Glass Parts) for 80-minutes.
Ross came from humble beginnings and started his own glass shop in the late 70's. We talk about his early struggles to building a great business that learned from its early mistakes. How he decided to modify his business model and sell off one arm of his company. To finally discussing his succession plan and the sale of his company to his two sons.
If you are a business owner and want to learn from a man who has 40-years of experience and has experience dealing with all the life-cycles of a business, this is a great learning experience. It was an absolute pleasure and I am lucky to have had the chance to talk to him and take up some of his time.

Giselle Denis - Artist
Monday Nov 04, 2019
Monday Nov 04, 2019
Giselle is one of Edmonton’s premier artists for a reason. Her art is absolutely beautiful and speaks for itself, but she has worked very hard for the last 16 years to build her brand. It becomes clear while we are having the conversation, why she has been so successful and that’s because she has combined her passion, her talent, her drive, her hard work and her business savvy mindset into a winning formula.
She takes risks and built a niche to separate herself from other artists. This is a very fun conversation with a very wonderful person who I am grateful to have had a chance to get to know better.
You can check out her work on Instagram @giselledenisfineart. There is also a link to RSVP to her next Studio Show on Saturday November 23, 2019.

Landon Schedler – Owner of Oliver Apt.
Monday Oct 21, 2019
Monday Oct 21, 2019
For anyone that knows me, I have a passion for woodworking as a hobby on the side, which is why I had so much fun doing this episode. If I wasn’t a Financial Planner, I would love to have a small business similar to the one Landon Schedler has.
He has an awesome woodworking shop downtown and builds some incredible things with his partner and staff.
He started this business in his apartment in Oliver and has turned it into a real business where he builds furniture and also finishes a lot of the coolest and trendiest restaurants in Edmonton.

Olivia Pilip - Boutique Events
Wednesday Oct 16, 2019
Wednesday Oct 16, 2019
I had the pleasure of sitting down with my very outgoing friend Olivia Pilip. She talked to me about her career so far. From being a hard-working employee to choosing to start her own event planning business while she was pregnant and had a newborn at home. Not something I would recommend, but it worked for her.
She explains how she got a job working in close proximity with the Edmonton Oilers. How she generates business and goes about her process to make great events for her clients.
We also talk about how she helped me not die when we ran a Spartan race and my role in a movie.
If you have a skill and have ever thought about doing that as a business owner, rather than working for the man, this is a great listen.

Stephen Moore - President of Orion Plastics
Monday Oct 07, 2019
Monday Oct 07, 2019
I had the pleasure of sitting down with a brilliant man who runs a world-class company. Stephen Moore went from working on a line for a small, start-up plastics manufacturing company, to becoming the President of that same company 13-years later.
He runs a very impressive business and along with his partners and staff, has turned it into a very productive and profitable company. The operation they run is beyond impressive.
These are the kind of success stories I love to hear.

David Husereau - "Chef, Entrepreneur, Comedian." The Writer's Room
Tuesday Aug 06, 2019
Tuesday Aug 06, 2019
David Husereau is an incredible chef and a very successful entrepreneur. He has done too many things for me to even mention or for us to cover in one hour, but we had a very fun conversation about his journey over a few beers in his awesome new restaurant, The Writer's Room.
Huse is, among other things:
A comedian, an amazing chef behind (Tekarra in Jasper, The Wood Buffalo Brewing Company, some restaurant in Maui, Crazy Dave's in Jasper and others), a real estate investor, a partner in Movilume (we didn't talk about this), a creative mastermind and one hell of a handsome dude.
He tells the story of how he went from making $1,000/week in the restaurant business 35 years ago when he was 15, to where he is now and his plans for the future.
